New Moser - Pioneer Center Seconds in Green "Mega Cool"

Not sure I like that lume hanging...

43 mm, 15 mm thick with crystal (10.6 without) and 13,900 CHF. Logo that you can barely see.

They’re just all so... faddy. I mean I want to like Moser, but I doubt they have real staying power.

This isn’t bad, but I prefer the former version.

It's absolutely not my favourite Moser, however I'm pretty sure the dial will be amazing as always.

The price seems reasonable to me.

I love it. They are blazing their own trail and not doing a ton of derivative things done a thousand times before. I get that some folks won't like the colorful dials and odd names and irreverent watches, but I love that this brand does their own thing in a fun and inspired way, and has unquestioned horological underpinnings going on under the hood. It's refreshing. Love this brand.

No idea if they have staying power, but I know they have never had stronger sales than right now. I wish them well. We need more high quality watch makers that don't take themselves so seriously, not less, imho.

Completely agree. Currently my favorite brand. It’s funny to claim that they won’t have “staying power” when Pioneers are starting to list above retail and considering how quickly their CEO revitalized the brand. I think Moser is here to “stay,” so to say.

By the way, look at this recent offering from AP and tell me who is riding fads v. trailblazing.

Lovely watch but too big. Make it 40/41 please. Had a green pioneer for two days before sending it back.

definitely wears big when there's no bezel, and with a domed crystal. kind of wish the markers were squared off instead of the taper, but i like it, this color is my fav

AP and them worked together, they allowed AP to be first by a few days

I think the industry wants to push green to sell more bits. Like the brown suit fad, or parachute pants, or big collars and thin ties. Aren't they both copying Rolex, so who really is leading here

It’s not so much the green as that specific green used by AP looks exactly like the fume green used on the Cosmic Green pioneer. Moser even mocked AP on their Instagram.

Cool. So, looks like they are trying to get green being the new blue. I'm waiting for the orange fad to take hold. We need more orange timepieces.

I have no problem with green per-se, it’s just that AP, PP and Moser have all chosen the most lurid, radioactive shade. A lovely, deep, rich moss green (like the one GS has used) would be lovely. These? Yuck. They’ll date as appallingly as ‘70s avocado kitchens.

I love what they are doing but...

The majority of their watches are time only. They need to push complications more. They hardly even make date watches. I have had 3 and actually was bored looking at them.

I do like their perpetual calendars, with the months/leap year cycle indications hidden on the back. In the end one normally already know what month it is...one just needs the date to transition correctly between months (including Feb->Mar).

Green Streamliner would be my choice but this watch does look cool. I respect Moser, they do their thing and good luck to them.

I respect them but their designs are always so off to me. Kind of seem slapped together. Again, awesome value for the $ but the design is hard to get over.
