Looking to get a Panerai
As the title states. Probably a PAM00104 or PAM00164. First what is the difference? and second what can I expect to pay I think msrp is $4400 correct? What will most AD discount them for?
Thanks Jeff. edit I think I figured out the difference the 104 has the cyclops and the 164 does not. |

The only difference is the dial. The 164 has a full set of numbers like so:
whereas the 104 has "sticks" with just the 12 and 6 numbers like so The case on the 164 is brushed whereas the case on the 104 is polished. If you need to know more about the watch the paneristi web site is a good place to start - www.paneristi.com Cheers |

Like Clive said, only differences are the dial and case.
MSRP is $4,900 for both. If you buy BNIB from an AD, you probably won't get much of a discount, maybe 5-10%? They usually throw in an extra OEM strap. Hee is my 104 on an OEM cashmere strap... |

Thanks guys. I was looking at both of the pictures of the 104 and 164 for hours and totally missed one not having numbers.

I like the polished case better on the Panerai watches.

I think Panerai get this just right, I went for the 164 which has a brushed case and polished bezel and crown guard which looks great and a 112 which has a polished case and bezel and a brushed crown guard. Both watches have a combination of brushed and polished, and both look terrific IMO.

^^ I am leaning toward the 164 with brushed case and polished bezel. brown calf skin strap, black stitching, with some sort of deployment clasp.

Jump on one if you get a discount. Discounts are hard to come by on those.

I think that the PAM 104 on a bracelet would be stunning. I always liked the Panerai bracelet.

I just recently purchased a 104. I shopped around for 2 months. I was unsuccesful in finding an AD that would offer a discount. Goodluck!
