Paneri ?

.
This reminds me of the old Stewart Warner gauges on my farm tractor.

I'll take a Rolex, thank you.

While you are entitled to your opinion, I think you will find that many Rolex owners also own and enjoy Panerai watches. I certainly do.

Never been a fan. When I was looking on a gun forum for higher end watches, someone suggested Panerai. I had never heard of them before, and went go to give 'em a gander. No thanks! No insult to owners, because we all are original in our tastes, but that watch does nothing for me. And the crown guard...why? I know, that's their "thing".

Anyway, enjoy...

Maybe so....I might even be one of them..

It still looks like an oil pressure gauge:

It does kind of bring back memories of an old Super Tach (or maybe the ST2)! Those were cool. The watch is nice too.

I am a Panerai fan. I have a large wrist and carry a large watch well. It's all a matter of personal taste. I tuned down a new GMT II to get a Panerai 164 and will soon be picking up a 183. The new GMT II just didn't do it for me.

I like Pannys, but need one with the regata dial, seconds subdial and a date feature.

I also think you will find many Panerai owners who have similar poor thoughts about Rolex. Sounds like a pretty close minded statement to me.

See, now these are very closed minded statements. Nowhere did I say that I had a poor thought about a Panerai...nor did I say that they were bad watches in any manner, shape or form....

I simply said the particular one I posted looks like a Stewart Warner gauge.....and it does.., and I gave an anology that might be humerous to someone in my age group and background.

If you looked a couple of posts further I posted a picture of one.....looks pretty close.

I have over fifty watches of different types - I don't have thin skin...I can post one and make fun of it if I want too - it's what makes life enjoyable.

How could your post be read other than it being "a poor thought about a Panerai" (as you said)?

However many watches you have is irrelevant. If you re-read your original comment, it's pretty easy to see that it's nothing but another derogatory comment toward Panerai. I have a good number more Rolex than Panerai, so I'm hardly biased towards Panerai....I just hate to see thinly veiled attacks on a brand for no apparent reason.

What was the point of this thread again...maybe I missed it?

Few too many panties getting into a twist on this thread.....both good watches....everyone has their own opinion....etc etc.
And yes the pressure gauge or whatever it is does look like the first watch featured on this thread....

You guys are kidding, right? Life's too short for this shit. We come here to unwind and have fun. Can't we leave the arguments to real life and keep the cyber world for laughs?

that is my case a 40mm Rolex looks tiny on my wrist almost comical. The 44mm PAM looks about right had to get custom made straps as the PAM long's were not quite long enough.
