Welcome aboard cloudcake. And congratulations on the choice of the GMT IIc; it is indeed a fine watch.

Either the sub with or without date,or GMT. I got the blue sub for my 40th. It is stunning to look at!

My advice -- Take him, and let him pick one out. THEN, buy it from a seller here, save some real money.

I was shown the GMT II in black ceramic (a number of you had suggested this watch and it was my second option)and I immediately fell in love with it. It fitted in with my husband's current sporty style of watches, so I know hel love it. I cannot wait to give it to him.

Thank you again to everyone as I would not be able to chose a suitable watch without your suggestions.
Fantastic choice! The GMT IIC is a very handsome watch, and I'm sure he will be absolutely thrilled you picked it out for him!

Hi Cloudcake,

Welcome to TRF and congratulations on such a fine choice and splendid gift.

..You make a strong case for marriage!

I see my subliminal suggestive Pre-ESP powers are working as you know this would've been my suggestion!

...Then again, I do see you live in London-town..hmmm

Best wishes and hope you return to share some B-Day pics!
