Pressure test?
Hi all,
Have a Seamaster GMT 2535.80 that I have been wearing for 6 years. After spending some time around trf seems folks are taking watches in to be tested for water resistance once every year or two. I have never had mine tested...... As it is in the ocean a few times a week, I better take it in to have it checked out, as hoping for another 4 years before service. What is the general thought on these seals/gaskets? Are people getting seals replaced every couple years? Or simply having the watch checked out, no leaks no new parts? Appreciate the insight! |

I get all of my watches pressure tested once a year and only replace seals if they fail. If everything passes, I wait until the next service to have them replaced

Boy, I don't remember. I think it was around $25 a watch. That sounds right. More if they have to replace seals. I drop mine off and get them back in a few days but it is a process you can wait on in store.
