'57 Rolex Chronograph.

Hello. 30+ yrs ago, I had the face on my watch refurbished. Job was done well, but I'm curious to know if there's a "new old stock" face out there. It has three separate small dials for seconds, minutes, and 12 hours. Also had a newer jubilee bracelet put on and would like to see what the old style would cost. The old style had "C" clamps holding it all together. Thanks.

berto, do you know anything about classic cars or antique furniture?

watches are the same in certain respects.

originality makes something worth a premium.

keep your redone dial - i hope maybe it was just cleaned and not repainted. even your old original bracelet, even in pieces and broken, can be worth many hundreds of dollars.

please take a pic and post it here.

There is a gentleman selling refinished dials on "The Bay" but I wouldn't buy one. Here's my Rolex 6234 from approx 1956 (original dial/large sub dial version)

I would guess an original dial would cost. $3000 ish (I could be wrong) and the flat end bracelet might be up there at maybe $1500?

An original dial would probably cost you and arm and a leg, but if I were looking I might check here as well.
