Interesting that the movement will be a 3187. That means the 3186 16570's are really transitional.

My AD said I would be the first one to get one or even try it on, having said that, don't expect it before summer at the earliest

I think I can skip the first heat and buy one second hand. However, I feel that it's a must have :)

That's a great looking upgrade. I love the highly visible GMT hand. If I ever get a second Rolex this may be it.

Well, I am excited, but the 42mm is somewhat of a disappointment. The DSSD is 42mm but requires the bulk for the extra depth rating (which no one will ever need, but....) The new EXP II has the bigger case "just because." Form over function. Which is not what a tool watch is all about. I'll still buy one, though. I do love the look and all the other improvements are perfect. Interesting, but my old 1655 is one of my lightest and most comfortable vintage watches.

It offers better variety within the Rolex family. They claim a "crown for every achievement" they now have a watch for every wrist.

Bravo Rolex.
