Appreciating the little things a bit more today

Lost my brother today to COVID after a month long battle. He was only 36. Wore my SubC pretty much every day quarantined, working, and waiting for updates from the doctor. Watches might seem meaningless when compared to family and life in general. But looking down at my wrist usually results in a smile and a distraction, even if just momentarily.

No real point to this post, other then to remind my fellow members to appreciate all we have in life, especially the things that make us happy. If you all can do one thing for me during this difficult time, just hug your families a bit tighter and enjoy the positives that this pandemic forced upon us, family time, bike riding, walks, new hobbies, disconnect, etc.

Appreciate you all for the constant distractions!

My condolences to you and your family. If there's even one small thing at any present moment that can bring even the tiniest bit of fleeting joy, I feel it is worth having regardless of what it is. I hope you keep all the good times with your brother in the forefront of your memories and may you continue to stay safe in this tenuous time.

This really sad to read - and hits close to home having a brother and being in what I assume is a similar age range.

Take care of yourself and your family in this tough time.

My deepest sympathy on the loss of your Brother.
Such a tragedy so early in life.
I can understand your sentiments re having your SubC as a distraction during a difficult time.
Stay safe.

Everyone, please stay safe during the Shelter In Place order while enjoying your toy on the wrist. Covid19 is not a flu, so stay safe.
