Doesn't really matter in this case. This that he legally doesn't own cannot be taken by his wife's divorce lawyers. Not a valid excuse.

Other concern would be insuring something he doesn't own :-(

If you have reported it stolen with the police then do the same with Rolex. Good luck and sorry to hear about this, I hope things turn around.

seems deleted from VRF

This same thread was started on the vintage rolex forum, and I posted a comment to say I was concerned also because I have had a transaction with him that's been incomplete since march.

He did not ship me two items in the listing, and missing 3 other items that we had agreed upon.

While I am trying to be understanding ... my patience is running a bit thin from waiting the last 2-3 months ...

I just went back to VRF after about 2 hours and it seems the mods have deleted the entire thread.

The mod from the VRF said he deleted the post because they don't post information about other members - it is just he said she said at this point according to Richard Carver their moderator - he said that he will investigate the facts - I provided him the police report.

No computer access in today's day and age, especially in this business? Still fishy and not good.
I will stay with the top sellers here especially DavidSW. Thanks.

His computer and email must be from CIA, can only be accessed by a specific pc with a specific Mac address from his network card.

I can see that he is going through a very nasty family problem and he should have left it at that, then u would have no issues with his comments. The email excuse just negated everything he said.

if that is the case, Then he should come out and say what really happened to the watches so that proper action can be taken. If it was really taken by his wife, then they should be going after her.

Holy Smokily I almost was thinking about contacting him for further info. on a watch. I guess I will just wait and see how the dust settles.

On his behalf though, when I did inquire about a watch Steve did get back to me promptly, next day and mentioned that he had a recent (family theft) that has put a damper on his business. This was just last week.

Hopefully everything works out in the end and you either receive your money (less commission) or your watch back safe and sound.

Aloha from Kauai.

Hmmm... I have to agree with simbal. We are only getting part of this story. It just isn't passing the smell test (in regards to the e-mails).
Sorry.

Steve always seems to have an "excuse". He screwed me out of a 16710 bezel insert a few years ago. It's amazing how he has all these "tragedies" that somehow affect his Internet service. He's a punk and a thief. Simple as that.

I am located here in St Pete (just 10-15 minutes from Steve). If there is anything I can do to help out logistics-wise just let me know.

Does anyone have a link to what caused him to get banned I always thought he was ok. I bought a link from him a few years ago and he sent me the wrong one. I returned it and had a refund. He was fine.

Thank you - I'm waiting on the Pasco County Sherriff now to track him down.

I will keep you posted. Doug

here is Steve's post on the VRF - They delete all my posts over there as the do on Timezone - which is kind of interesting.

Online reputations are all we have here and they will not let any negative posts stay active - how do they protect their members then on those forums? Last year I spent about $250k on watches and have never met any seller or buyer but all seemed fine to me after some online reputation research.

This is the first deal ever that I have ran into any trouble. Thanks TRF

I did a trade deal with him, he was supposed to hold the Omega until I freed up some cash to send him to get it back. I'm figuring his ex-wife stole it along with the other stuff she took from him.

The thread on VRF wasn't deleted, it was locked. You can still read it. The mods on VRF are (rightfully, I think) very strict about not letting people attack one another publicly over there. That said, Steve also owes me a part that I paid for over a month ago. At this point I don't expect to get my part or my money back. If he eventually clears this up with the seemingly very long list of people he owes money watches or parts to, that's great. But I wouldn't buy so much as a toothpick from the guy in the future.

It's frustrating how many people still seem to be supporting him. Guilt-tripping people by implying they're not his "real friends" because they want the money/goods he owes them in a timely manner? Please, just more misdirection to cover up the issue at hand (the debts themselves).

I don't have a dog in this fight, so forgive me if I'm passing judgment unduly, but I will say that I know a thing or two about how people behave when they owe you money and don't have it. Steve Mulholland is running through the textbook.

I don't think I need to go into details about how my view how he does business and his communication skills, but needless to say, I would never do any transaction with him, not even let him buy things from me. Everyone is of course free to come to their own conclusions.
