2000 Rolex 18248 Day-Date 36 Bark LNOS Full Set Safequeen Unpolished Tritinova Dial

For sale is a Like New Old Stock (LNOS) 36mm 18 karat yellow gold Day-Date Bark “President”. The T serial 18248 was originally retailed in 2000 to an Applebee's executive who received the watch as a corporate gift, and is accompanied by an extensive box and papers set. Included in the box and papers set are: inner and outer rolex boxes, the original dated warranty paper, a leather Rolex warranty paper holder, three instruction manuals, an instruction manual holder, a Rolex polishing cloth, a red hologram hang tag, and a Rolex handkerchief.

The Day-Date features a brushed gold case, which is accented by a fixed gold bark finish bezel. The 18248 is mounted on its original 8723 President bracelet, which contains 21 full size links, and will comfortably fit a 7.25 inch wrist. The 8723 bracelet is stamped with an “AB4” clasp code, which corresponds with a production date of April 2000. The Day-Date features a seldomly seen champagne “Tritinova” dial with applied polished gold stick hour markers, polished gold luminous hands, a magnified date window aperture at 3 o’clock, and a weekday window aperture at 12 o’clock. The “Tritinova” dial which is mounted on the Day-Date is true rarity, as they were produced during a very short production period of only a few months during Rolex’s translation from tritium to Super-LumiNova.

The case has been preserved exceptionally well and remains unpolished with super crisp brush lines and flawless lugs. The 8273 President bracelet contains no noticeable stretch, while the cornett on the clasp is exceptionally crisp. The Day-Date’s yellow gold components have acquired a gorgeous and rich reddish / rose gold colored oxidation, from spending the last 23 years in a safe.  Furthermore, this 18248 was most likely one of the last Bark finish Presidents produced, having left the factory in March of 2000, with the 18248 being officially discontinued in April at Basel World 2000.
Overall the Day-Date is in LNOS condition, and is the personification of what a “Safe Queen'' watch truly is.

Shall deliver for $17,295
