It won’t go to MSRP but they won’t go up now.

Ummm...no...

Not in the cards...

But I agree with you waiting - 2 other people will get theirs that much sooner.

Speculating on the price fluctuation of a luxury watch in the UK post Brexit might be fun, but we're in the realms of pure fantasy. Nobody knows.

Personally I think luxury new and used watches will go up significantly. Not that I care. It's a hobby. Loads of watches out there. Many available grey for big discounts. The Daytona is a grain of sand.

This is price sold I think after two years of holding static something is changing I doubt £30k by end of the year. Especially with our new tax rules and the EU brexit issues putting people off from buying from the UK and vicea versa. Check the charts if you don’t believe me.

I we will have to go grey definitely but I think a price drop will be coming. Maybe 1k to 3k next year
I don’t want this to sound arrogant or dismissive to the value of money, but what difference dose 1k or 2k make to the value of a 20k LONG TERM purchase that’s going to ultimately, at minimum retain its value, indexed to inflation? On a side note, (seeing as your so concerned about value/price) you’d be hard pressed to find another place to put the savings of the 1k to 3k (you hope to make) as a store of wealth anyway, better off having it in the watch.

If the Daytona is something you desire to own now, you have only one option. I wish you luck, hoping you acquire your Daytona sooner rather than later.

They don't have lists anymore.

Ok let me figure out how it’s chrono if you put the black ceramic on watch followed for uk you will see I will post the chart. I get the post about 1 to 3k but that fall could lead to a bigger fall.

The price will increase based on interest. As long as people flush with cash want it and don't mind the increased premium then the grey will keep pushing it up. I see these white daytona's going for big red prices in a few years.

I saw a BNIB SS Daytona C for over $30K at Essential Watches in Beverley Hills.
To rich people out there, it is pocket change.

Ok fast forward to now it’s been over a year and in 5 months will be two years and has hardly increased on prices maybe stayed static.

I think with brexit making sales abroad hard for greys and VAT/Tax increases and COVID I think it’s reached it’s max. It won’t go over £20k now it might even go down. I think this could be for a lot of watches on grey unless they get discontinued and the Daytona ceramic won’t it’s hardly been out.

It might now even drop due to the issues. I think we are now going to wait for it to drop now. What you all think. It could happen to a lot of watches I think now.

It won’t go to MSRP but they won’t go up now.

I have read and seen (videos) numerous reports that Rolex manufacturing decreased in 2020 and now (in 2021) due to Covid. They further report there will be a lessen supply in 2021. If true, no chance of decrease in Daytona or other hot Rolex models.

No one can 100% predict the future Rolex market.
But to sit around and constantly study market trends for watches takes a lot of time. And time is money.
Good luck!

so secondary market prices have reached an equilibrium. For priced to go down from here there would either have to be reduced demand or more watches produced. Which of these do you think is going to happen?

I have only waited for my AD, I never waited for the price to drop because I know that that it is very unlikely.

With this pandemic going on which causes less production while demand remaining sky-high, I do not think the price will fall. It may have reached its peak at around $28-29K. As long as there're people out there continue to pay this type of prices, I don't see it ever going down.

Also, I think to those with deep pockets, $25K and $29K really isn't much of a difference anyway; they just want the watch and get it over with.

With one of the other steel in demand watches discontinued I only see additional pressure up on the others (Daytona, 15202, 5167, etc.).

I'm not sure of the price dropping soon, you can buy now to avoid a reversed case.

You can see my chart it’s for the black dial. In the last 3 years yes it went up but in last 1.6 years no moment. Have a look on your side at last two years.

I think people don’t want to admit this as they have Daytona’s and want it to keep going up because secretly even though they say buy the watch you like they are seeing it as an investment

This is what I see for black.

I see a flat spot but I think these guys like Zillow for real estate have a tendency to "cheat" and change their historical data. If one were to take monthly screenshots for 24 months and then compare to their 2 year chart a bit of hand waiving has ensued.
