Deep question
Many people have an explorer II with a black dial. What exactly is your question? Johnny Cash? |

Genuinely don't know what watch you're referring to.

Had a black one and it was good but sold it after 2 years. Got a white one 6 months ago and that is a different story. Vastly prefer the white after owning both. The white is excellent in this reference.
Also...Johnny Cash?

Johnny Cash was such a great singer and was so dang cool, I wouldn’t mind something as cool as an Explorer being nicknamed for him I guess.

This guy is trolling. He is in the other thread about nicknames "LOLing" about them and now he made his own new thread to pile on.

Ref 216570 or 16570? Curious about why you preferred the white, please. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The black in the 6 digit is nice. With the dial being matte, the hands pop too. So, 5 digit, prefer the polar, 6 digit, the black. 5 digit, the case is smaller, so I can pull off the polar. In the modern reference, being 42mm and the fat hands, it looks like a clock on my arm. The black calms it down a bit. Maybe I'm crazy. |

Thanks! Good review. I’m told the black wears smaller, which may be the reason. I tried on a polar 5 digit some time back. Shoulda bought it I’m just so used to black dials, I was scared off by it not working with dark suits etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Both the black and polar Exp II's are awesome. I think it boils down to your preferences and collection.
If you already have a/multiple black-dialed sports watches, the Polar is a nice addition for variety. If you are looking for a one-and-only Rolex sports watch, the black is probably more versatile. Best wishes |
