Icon4 *** Has recession finally hit Rolexes!!!???

Hi all out there,

Just bumped into a local pre-owned dealer and guess what?

A 116400GV Milgauss selling for US$5.1K and its LNIB with papers valid till 2011. I remember people were hawking it for US$15K back in 2008.

Have Rolex prices finally hit the ceiling??? Are we going to see a bloodbath in firesale of Rolexes?

Cheers.

p/s My latest love, the 16610LV was a pre-owned and bought from the same guy at a good price.

Thanks, it costs me 4 years of wait =) I do keep records on SG tranx price among the dealers that publish online and I guess you are right, its SS vs DD.

If you think that is bad, I was offered a Milgauss GV for $5,500 at an AD without any negotiating.

it's fair to say the bottom dropped out of the high end market when the crash came, as pointed out about 2 years ago...and the truth of it is reflected by the above posts....$5,500 or $5,100 for a GV Milgauss was unheard of two years ago. However, I think the used rolex market for such items as the sub date have remained pretty good, just because they are always in demand and not too extravagant($3,500 range).
