How accurate is your SD43 ?

My SD43 has been simply amazing when it comes to keeping time.

Since I got it in middle of December 2017, the watch hasn’t lost or gained 1 sec.

I don’t use any apps...
I just see the second-hand hitting 12 every time my iPhone clock changes minutes.

That’s how I set it over two months ago.

That’s just crazy accurate for a mechanical piece.

I wear it everyday and it sits on my nightstand when I sleep.

None of my other Rolex or Omega watches has been this accurate.

Is it the new movement ?

Or did I just get lucky ?

I am curious to know what other SD43 are like when it comes to keeping time.

I almost made this same thread yesterday. Only had mine for 3 weeks, but it's been absolutely dead on as well. Cant say the same for my DJ. I believe I've seen a few comments around here saying the same for the SD43. Seems like the 3235 might be a little better even than Rolex is letting on.

I've had mine for a week. It's slow 10 seconds so far, and continues to lose about 2 seconds a day consistently. It's underperforming a 2015 SD4K I've had for 3 days, which is still spot on.

Since acquiring my SD43 last October, I've worn it for a series of 2-week periods. For each 2-week period that I've worn the watch, I've noted the timekeeping to be +1.5 seconds per day, and it's still running at +1.5 secs/day even at the end of the two weeks, i.e., absolutely no slowdown. This is easily the most accurate watch of any Rolex in my collection.

It will settle in, they always do. My watch was spot on for about 2 months then out of the blue settled at -2 and has been there since

Mine is running within 1-2 seconds a month. Crazy accurate. Can't wait for the new movement to be put into more Rolex watches.

Mine averages about 1.5sec slow per day (approx 45 sec over a month). More than happy with that.

I’ve only had mine for a week now but in that time it’s only gained two seconds. I imagine it’s still in the process of settling but I like what I see so far! Funny, I use the same method to time my accuracy...it works for me.

I have never been too concerned over the absolute accuracy of a mechanical watch.. but since it was new (I bought my SD43 in December '17), I timed it for a couple of weeks. It was about -1 second per day, which I was really impressed with.

Haven't timed it since. I assume that it will settled in slightly after breaking in, but I am not too worried about it.

Anyway, in short, it is super accurate for a mechanical watch.

When I wear the watch for extended periods I am spot on timing wise. When it goes on the winder I am minus 1 Second a day.

When I keep mine on the winder it seems to run about 2 sec fast per day. However when I put it on my dresser as I did last night, it loses a couple seconds a day. Strange

Mine is consistently +0.8s/day, or about +24s/month. If it stays like that I'll be happy. For comparison, my GMTc was about +10s/month.

I adjust & wind at the start of each month.

Mine was + fractions of a second per day for months. Then I let it wind down and stop while away on a trip. Upon my return, I noticed it's now running about 1.5 seconds fast per day. Still phenomenal, but not what I was experiencing for the first 3 or so months I owned it. I have an Atomic clock built into my Orbita winder which is how I track my pieces.

I've contemplated letting it wind down again and starting over and seeing if it is locked in at 1.5 seconds per day, or if it will fluctuate again. All in all, I'm still thrilled as hell and have owned it since last June.

My sd43 was first purchased in oct 2017, over 5 months ago.
(I purchase mine in excellent condition from DavidSW, LNIB)

I have worn it close to 3 months now.

So hopefully my SD43 is already settled in...

I will update if the acccuracy changes

Dead on, worn it since last July. It is so incredibly accurate there is no need to ever change it.

I used to care. Now that I’ve been wearing a Rolex 24/7 for a few years, I no longer care as long as the time is within a few minutes. I have two Rolex and usually end up resetting them both once a month or so because it will die while I’m wearing the other one. So I never notice these issues with the time nor do a few seconds ever matter to me (if it did then I would get a chronograph)
