GMT2 16710A L series complete set
A visit to a Rolex AD earlier this week resulted in this new addition to my GMT collection.
This L series 16710A was purchased new in October 1990 from a Rolex AD in Washington. This was an exciting find since it is as complete set as one can find for a 20+ year old GMT. I am uncertain of the the initial year of 16710 production but this is a beautiful GMT2 from the early production of this reference. The Rolex AD that sold this watch did not know of the service history, if any, but they thought this watch was running with cosc standards. The warranty certificate has the reference # R16710A30B9315. This is the first time I have verified that a 16710 was sold with a 93150 Oysterlock bracelet. The set included the model sticker from the outer box, the hang tag with the correct serial number, both original instruction booklets, 2 unused spare Oyster links, the COSC tag, a polishing cloth and even the original sticker from the back of the watch. I changed the original A red/black insert "coke" to a spare faded B red/blue "pepsi" insert that I had among my spare parts. |

Congrats! Very nice example. I have found that in collecting, there is always great satisfaction derived from getting a complete set with a watch.

Congrats ! It is perfect !!!
This is how watches shall be kept and passed to the next "keeper". All of mine, carry the full set, as per above, and I get mad when people throw away the boxes and all other items after the purchase.
