10 of the best

I borrowed a camera this week to try and get a few snaps of my new Habring so I'm new to this whole photography lark. The pics aren't the best but I thought it only right to get a group shot of the family. My pride and joys

Top row L2R - Casio G-Shock Mudman 'Stormtrooper', Seiko Moving Design Collection Discus.

Far Left - Rolex GMT2 above Omega Speedmaster Professional 'Sapphire Sandwich'

L2R - Citizen Ecozilla with Suppa Parts adapters, Habring2 Manual Wind Foudroyante, Rolex 14060M Submariner, Rolex T<25 ExplorerII white dial, Seiko Orange Monster, Swatch Irony

It's a basic Hirsch one - can't remember the name but it won't set you back more than about $35-40.

Thanks for the comments

That Habring has some presence. If you were to pair it with a black or brown croc strap it would look a million dollars. How much are they if I may ask (or is that frowned upon here?)?

One minor criticism, not sure the colour of the strap matches too well with the Monster but maybe that's my screen settings.

http://www.habring2.com/ is the best place to start. Richard habring used to work for IWC designing / building tourbillons. He also designed the IWC Deep One watch and I believe their rattrapante chronograph movement too. I think he was in charge of Lange and Sohnes repairs for Aisa too.

He's been making watches under the Habring2 name with his wife Maria-Kristina since the mid 2000's. The only have about 5-6 styles of watch and they make a maximum of 12 per model per year. They're modular meaning there's a set of movements, dials, hands etc the customer can choose but basically if you're willing to pay for it, they're willing to build it.

The watches are regulated to within -3, +5 (same as Grand Seikos and Patek) and come with a 3 year waranty and a full set of replacement hands and gaskets.

Prices vary depending on the watch model and any chosen customizations but you're basically talking Rolex type prices, not Patek / AP (hence how I've managed to get one). I really can't compliment it enough

Great minds think alike then - I've just ordered a Toshi black strap with natural coloured stitching for the Habring. The patent leather's great but I like to mix things up.

The Monster doesn't usually have a red strap on (usually it's a black NATO) but that's the only one I had to hand when I went to take the picture. The Sub's normally on a NATO too and the ExpII is usually on caramel strap with white stitching but as I say, I like to mix things up occasionally.

good collection; however, it would be a great one if you just had a breitling in there :)

Thanks for the comments everyone

Breitling - sorry mate but they'll never feature The Navitimer and Superocean are OK but I have a Speedy and a Sub so they're unrequired.

As for future additions I'd love the new salmon dial Grand Seiko hi-beat, a Tuna and the new Explorer II. The Tuna might happen this year but the others are a bit too pricey for now + I've got more than enough watches to keep me entertained.
