Vintage DJ
Hi all,
This diamond dial Datejust has been sitting in the window of the local pawnshop for a while. The rep tells me it is from the 80s. I am not that familiar with Datejust but I know diamond dial ones are usually aftermarket. The dial and hands look to clean for the watch considering the conidtion of the case etc. It has been sitting for maybe a year now, so I may be able to get a good deal on it if it is all legit. IMHO the dial is aftermarket, so are the hands. Any opinions are appreciated. More images here: https://imgur.com/a/Hw4kcMR |

Why do you want it? Even if it is cheap it's a pain in the ass owning a watch with a replaced dial in the long run.

Good looking watch. DJ dials are relatively cheap and plentiful, never turn down a nice watch over a dial, easily replaced.

If it’s indeed from the 80’s, shouldn't the calendar wheel be sporting an open 6?

Actually it's an original dial and hands for a DJ model 16234 and those dials are selling for $500 to 1k on Ebay...
