5513 question

Hi,
I wanted to see everyones opinion on a 5513 i'm looking at. Its a 1984 sub 5513. I've been looking for a brith year vintage sub and this checks all the boxes. Its in excellent shape, has box and papers, reputable dealer asking $16,500. Is that reasonable in todays vintage rolex market? Thanks for the help.
Jim

Judging from the close-up shot of the hands, they look like they might've been relumed. And the insert is a service insert, not original to the watch.
That's a lot of money for that watch.

Your assumptions appear to be correct- and if so, it is grossly overpriced.

Dont rush the pursuit

I have no relation to the seller but in today’s market the price seems to be reasonable imo. Remember it has the paper. A 1675 with papers will sell for more than that. If u can negotiate down, u might have a winner. All u need is a mid font flat 4 insert which is not ridiculously priced yet. Good luck.

If you've been thorough with your research and you're happy with this watch and its asking price then go ahead and make a reasonable offer. I'd want to see that the case SN conforms with the paperwork. Ask about the handset (relumed or not), the lightening in the macro pic is terrible. Also, are you OK with the insert and bracelet clasp?
