Hello,
I searched the forum and did not find any information in regards to my question. Has Rolex ever produced a vintage case with 2 non matching crown guards ( square & pointed ) I recently saw a photo of a watch with non matching crown guards, unless it is the angle of the photos or one was severely polished, this particular watch has non matching crown guards. Thoughts and replies appreciated. |

They weren't always exact mirrors of one another, but I would not expect to find a square guard above and a pointed below, or vice versa, no.

Agreed,Cases where hand finished back then.It’s just another thing that makes the old Watches more interesting to me.

It almost looks like a mis-strike on the case. I will try to post pictures later.
