Here's my small Rolex stable. A 14060 No Date Sub (U series) and a TOG.

Beautiful watches. I am loving that Sub more and more these days, the 14060M may very well be my next one, however the Exp2 black dial is catching my eye again these days (don't tell JJ)

Its funny you call it a small rolex stable, but if you look at it you have 2 watches made by one of the original wristwatch makers that will last your children's grandchildren's children a lifetime LOL Small collection? I think not. A collection of 1 Rolex would be ample, but we are all crazy lunatics here arent we?

Now post more pics of those beauties you got there. I want to see more 14060/M's the more the better

Welcome to TRF, Sheldon, and don't be modest. That's a very nice stable you have there.

The TOG is a particularly fine speciman. I love the red second hand and the red date numbers.

Wear them well and enjoy both.

The 14060 is a relatively recent addition. The TOG I have had for a year after trading in my 18 year old datejust. After the 14060, I am begining to favor the 40mm size over the TOG's 36mm. Insofar as weight, the redesigned TOG case (compared to my original DateJust) and the solid oyster link band makes the TOG and the Sub about the same weight. After wearing the solid oyster band, I can see why the Submariner claps are sometimes referred to as Tuna Cans. The TOG machined clasp is much more substantial. If only the TOG came in 40mm, and used the YachtMaster or Daytona oysterlock clasp I think would really have a winner. I am eagerly waiting for Basal in March to see if an upgraded stainless GMTII is released.
