Ouch. Sorry to hear what happened. Will keep an eye out. If there is any bright side, you got away with your life considering how violent it was.

danger - moped or scooters

Thanks. Its becoming common in affluent areas of London.
I forgot to add, it was 2 guys on a moped who stopped and me for directions. As the driver engaged me, the passenger got off and attacked me. Therefore if any moped approaches you, run and shout for help.

Ouch, sorry to hear about this mate. Hope you recover quickly! I'll definitely keep an eye out for your watch, I will also pass the photo/serial # to some police friends in London just in case they come across it.

THANK YOU.
Does anyone know of other sites I can post stolen serial too? I know Rolex doesn't do this anymore. I just want to publicise this crime as much as possible.

Between your story and the bloke who got his Rolex stolen in Ibiza, I am beginning to think having anything nice, just isn't worth it.

The fact that you have posted the serial means that it will show up in a google search. I always try to google a serial number before buying.
Must have been a scary event, get well soon!

Terrible news. Guess we have to be extremely careful anytime a stranger enters our personal space. All the best in your recovery and hope you get your watch back. Did you have it insured?

Very sad news, but at least you survived. The moped thefts are all over London. Grabbing phones as well. Be careful out there.

Not trying to offend anyone, but sounds like stuff that happens in third world countries. I recall my last trip to South America, relatives would warn me not to to have my phone out in public, as people would jump out of cars and steal them right out of your hands.

They tend to be isolated in small areas. Don't forget 9million plus people in London!

Hello!
I am Rolex and Hublot dealer from Finland. I contacted one Rolex forum's member alex700500 because he has a topic here on his stolen Rolex Day Date. The dealer i have to be careful that I am not bying stolen items. Everything is now okey. The Rolex has found on August and he sold the watch to English watch dealer in London. The Watch Dealer sold the watch via Chrono24 to someone around the world. I think that it would be important to remove this topic from your forum because if the new owner would like to sell the watch in the future this topic seems on google search. Because everything is now ok and the Rolex has found, can you immediately remove the topic which name is stolen Rolex serial number R417120 Day Date gold. That would be very kind!

Kind regards,
Miikka Evesti (Rolex dealer)
