Hi everyone!

Can anyone help please?!
I recently purchased a datejust 31. I love it but it just doesn’t fit properly 😩
I had it sized when I bought it, and 3 links were removed (I have small wrists). I’d been wearing it for a week or so but it was too tight, with it sitting uncomfortably towards the outer side of my wrist at the 12 o’clock side and pressing on my wrist bone.

Today I’ve had a link put back in and it’s better, if a little bit too big for my liking .... but it’s still not central!
I’ve read that I need to have a permanent link taken out of the 6 o’clock side to make it sit centrally.
Can anyone offer any advice on this please??
Should the AD be able to do this? Or will the watch need to go back to Rolex? Will removing a permanent link devalue the watch?
It’s brand new, and obviously I want it to be right. I’m just not sure what to expect from the AD. I’m looking to ring them this week to try and sort it out.

On the older bracelets, removing a permanent link from the 6 side is common, and has been done for decades to fit small wrists.

In fact, removing a permanent link was so common, the new bracelets all have an additional removable link so that is eliminated.

It doesn't devalue anything, except for those with OCD.

As Larry said, it’s common to remove a permanent link to get a good fit for those with small wrists. I had mine done and I’m glad I did. But which bracelet do you have with your Datejust. Some oyster bracelets have some micro adjustment slots to help with fitting. And also the new oyster bracelets have only 3 permanent links on both sides I believe. In my opinion if you need less than that, then no matter what you will not be happy with the fit cos the next issue will then be the clasp being too wide/big for you. Maybe post a photo so that others can chime in and help/give some tips!

It’s good to know a permanent link can be removed! I’ve just called my AD and they’ve said they can’t (or won’t) remove permanent links, they’ll have to send it back to Rolex.
Is this the best way to have it done? What alternatives are there?
I’ve added some photos to show how off centre the watch is at the minute.
I’ve got 4 permanent links on the 6 o’clock side, and 4 on the 12 o’clock side with another 2 replaceable links on this side too.
I’ve read that flipping the clasp can help? I’m not sure I want to do that but any advice would be much appreciated!
