Favourite Non Rolex watch that you could afford.

Okay, so you have the funds to purchase your next watch and hypothetically you are ready to pull the trigger but it can't be a Rolex. Which make and model had been pulling at your heart strings and you could see yourself owning?
For me it's the VC overseas chrono.

If I had to choose one and blow my whole stash then an ALS or FPJ. But to get the ones I want I’d have to go gray and even then get a great deal.

I’ve wanted a Nautilus since I saw this dapper gentleman sporting one in Milan circa ‘09. That’s a pipe dream now though, so I’m going to go with one of my other favorites. ALS 1815 Chrono:

Probably a Royal Oak if it could be had at MSRP. VC Overseas is a close second, both of those bracelets speak to me.

Favourite Non Rolex watch that you could afford.

I could afford this if I liquidated my collection...

...as well as selling my wife and toddler.

My first non Rolex is about to be one of the new vintage Big Pilots. If I could decide Brass or Titanium I would already have one

Got to ask why post a subject on non Rolex watches in the Rolex watch only forum.

I would (will in the next 12 months) pick a JLC Polaris in blue. About $7,000 USD.

I’m tossing around which of these two JLC’s I prefer at the moment. I’m leaning towards the master ultra thin date.

FYI, the MUT date is LOUD. I considered buying one last year but, when I tried the watch on, I found the rotor made too much noise on the wrist.

One of these if there were a little more certainty in my economic future:
Patek calatrava
VC Patrimony
GS Snowflake (with blue dial)
Or...
Weiss limited edition ultralight watch in titanium

AP Royal Oak 15500ST with the silver-white dial. Maybe this year if the AD plays ball and the crisis is hopefully ended.

I made it happen as I slowly fell out of love with Rolex. Panerai 233, Seamaster 300 and Tritium Speedy.

love this one... will wait a little for the market to hopefully correct so that I can buy it brand new with a nice discount - sub $40K from my AD. Have you tried it on? I am worried it will look small on my 8+ inch wrist...

That definitely is on my list as well.

My favorite non Rolexes are my favorite watches period, the blue VC Overseas 4500V (that I‘m wearing as I type this) and the grand Lange 1 117.028 (which I hope to recover from the draconian Dubai lockdown soon). I do have a lot of appreciation for my good old beat up 116710LN too though.
