Yes, just by $100 though. ($8,200 vs $8,300)

Strange that it only went up $100. DavidSW had listed that the new price would be $8,550 in the thread he started about the price increase. The Air King went up $250.

GV prices will explode when it is retired, Z Blue particularly so it is still a good buy imho

Price increases on all models are fairly laughable.

Not sure why they even bother when they're not available.

I am not sure how long and why Rolex would continue to offer the GV variant of Milgauss. The crystal is expensive to make and used only on the black and the blue dial models. It is not like sharing the crystal across multiple models, perhaps to achieve economics of scale.

It is getting harder to find the ZBlue at the ADs. The demand for Milgauss has surged a bit due lack of availability of other SS models. Moreover, I don’t think Rolex will increase production of Milgauss compared to other hot sellers.

There is a good chance that in 2020, Rolex may discontinue this model.

Whoa. Didn't realize this happened until seeing this thread. Also have been gone from the forums for a few months - hi guys!

SS BLRO now $9,700 (~5% increase from $9,250)
SS DaytonaC now $13,150 (~6% increase from $12,400)

I am sure this is has been covered comprehensively already in another thread so you're dealing with my first reaction here!

I find it hard to believe that Rolex will nix an entire line - has this ever happened in the past?

That’s not to say that the Milgauss won’t get an update which could involve getting rid of the GV crystal. What I would love to see is a Milgauss with a modernized movement using antimagnetic materials and ditching the antiquated faraday cage. This would also allow for a thinner case.

The Milgauss was discontinued for nearly 20 year before the current iteration was introduced in the early 2000s

We see the watch completely differently.

I have no interest in an amagnetic Milgauss. An anti magnetic Milgauss that is true to its history appeals greatly to me.

Finally, the case proportions of the Milgauss are very pleasing to me and so I don’t in any way wish for a thinner case. My Milgauss wears twice as well as the DJ 41.

I think the idea is that the scientist decides what “units” it represents, Rolex didn’t want specify time units like seconds, minutes and hours, if that makes any sense. It can be the time unit the scientist wants.

Update in 2022 along with AK is my guess. They will remove the polished center links as they did with GMT line. It looks weird with a SS line but works on the TT version. This watch needs a big update given the AK with same everything except for the dial is 2000 cheaper. $2K is a lot of money to pay for a blue dial.
