Icon7 5212 A finally arrived

Big day today - I have been waiting for a little more than a year with great anticipation and finally the 5212 A arrived from my AD. The market really sucks so this put a bit of a smile on my face.

I am really excited and happy that " in the flesh" the 5212 is prettier than in photos. I was concerned that there was too much information being displayed but I am happy to report that is not the case!

I am also thrilled that this watch has such a " different look" to it yet it is as classy as you would expect from a Patek.

All in all I am a very happy camper!

The dial is hand written

I guess there will always be small variances if something is done by hand rather than by machine - probably one of the charming components to this watch.

Totally agree. It’s the frivolity of the hand-written style dial that makes this watch imo.

Right... I wasn't aware that the dial was hand painted, just goes to show you how informative the forum is, Cheers "H"

OP, congrats on this new beauty! This is a PP reference that I had not seen before and, based on the tiny little bit of research I just did, looks like it is the only stainless reference in the Complications collection. Super cool and I love everything about it. Really nice as I expected to open this thread and see another blue sports model.

Fantastic piece, congratulations. I'd have this in my collection in a heartbeat if offered one. I was a little skeptical of the font when it was first released but it lends an air of informality and playfulness to a serious complication. I love the juxtaposition.

Congrats!

I hope that Patek will release 5212 in a black-dialed version.
