Like trying to line up the center cap on your car’s rim...Happened this time without trying but I have seen guys at car shows who do this on purpose lol...

Fun fact: not sure if you were aware, but every single Porsche center caps crest points to the air valve.

Keep an eye out, I think it’s a pretty cool quirk of Porsche.

Umm, sorry but that’s not accurate. You could do that on any car with removable center caps but it’s not an official Porsche thing or technology. If anything you might fine a dealer that does it to cars on their lot.

Now most Rolls and Bentley center caps will always face north but that’s very different.

Only the PM SkyD. And how many here will purchase that watch at 40K just for the crown alignment?

This.

I am no export but I don’t think you can do anything to realign it. I can understand if new Rolex owners question the crown when noticed, but don’t waste your time worrying about that, or hour hand alignment, or magnification level, or bezel alignment, or rehaut alignment, or +2-2 accuracy, etc lol. You can drive yourself crazy when you over analyze. This applicable to almost all luxury watches with exception of maybe Grand Seiko, which is near perfect every time.

Are the lap lines on the caseback supposed to line up N/S or E/W?

New BMW do that. It’s like a spinner.

It’s also what my Porsche SA told me but hey that’s just what I heard and read

Also, I own 2 newer Bentleys and don’t know about the wheel caps facing north or anything like that

I don't think I have had any. Not important to me.
