Authenticity of Rolex Sub 16618 bracelet

Hello all, I need a bit of advice. I maybe in the market for a Sub 16618 but I am having second thoughts now that I’ve seen the bracelet. My concern is there is no Rolex Crown on the clasp could this still be genuine.

If it has been polished by a heavy hand, yes it could be genuine. I have seen many 16618's badly polished. The coronet on the buckle certainly can be polished smooth. Pics would help.

I would tend to agree, there are no papers with it & it’s going for a very good price but as they say probably too good to be true

It has been heavily polished or polished many many times in its life. I have seen loads where the coronet has partly worn but not actually worn away - it’s a good way to tell how used the watch actually is.

I don’t doubt the authenticity. Seller seems to have good reviews.

Seriously man? Seller 3-4 countries away? Lot of money. Sketchy looking. Cmon.

My 1989 has more adjustment holes the same as the one the OP is questioning.

Fair enough, so there are variables

1989 is a “holes case”. Maybe the bracelet clasp adjustment holes changed when then changed the case to “no holes case”.

The pic I posted with less adj is also a holes case but with Swiss made dial so it might be newer.
