And why not a Day Date 36? It's the original Day Date size and will be more appropriate for your wrist

It's not the 2000's anymore. That is way to big for you. The 36mm is more your size and will be cheaper too

DD 36 is perfectly proportioned. No need for the bloated 40 other than to increase wrist presence-which is for jewelry and I don’t go for that.
