I bought a DJ 36 from an AD on July 2, and it came with the old warranty card. The manager said they hadn't gotten the new cards yet.

Does this apply to anything you buy or just to Rolex watches?

I wonder if the rings around the Rolex logo contain additional data, almost like a QR code type of deal.

And Rolex has done those before also in similar fashion.

I bought my new 216570 Polar yesterday (Friday). It came with the new card

The back shows the model number and the serial, the date was penned in by the AD staff. There’s no name on the card.

I like the new cards. Smart move by Rolex to protect people's privacy by not having names spelled out on the cards.

I agree. I just picked up a new 116610ln and was happy to see it had the old style card. I like having my name on the card.

Yea everything. I write my name on the tag of my underwear.

More for sentimental items or things I plan on giving to my kids. I think it's part of the dealer experience. If I'm worried about privacy, or am selling the item, a single line of black sharpie covers my name pretty easily. Definitely not the end of the world but seems to encourage flippers.

I’m glad my first came with the old card with my name on it. I think from a psychological perspective if I bought grey or pre-owned I would prefer NO name on the new cards. I can then pretend I am the first and only owner haha

Picked up a Hulk yesterday and it came with the new style card. The sales person commented as if it was the first one they had seen.

My AD said they believed it was to do with data protection. This makes sense.

Great post guys and thanks for sharing.

I know with pre 2020 warranty cards in the U.S, it also includes dial color in the description, whereas other regions, there is no description. Do the new 2020 warranty cards also have this information E.g. Roman Blue dial or will it be removed?

No, they don’t. As mentioned above, it only shows reference #, serial, and date of purchase that is filled in by hand.

Looks like there is a lot of space for writing the date.
Just write the date a little smaller on the top half and write you name on the bottom half.
