The most over engineered and beautifully designed professional watch in the line up. I don't understand why there isn't crazy hype and demand for this watch like the other hot sports models. It's an absolute show stopper and would by my first choice in their professional range hands down.

Rolex have their own 'holy trinity' of sports watches (Daytona, GMT, Sub) but i'm like how do people not see this beauty, you can't exactly miss it haha.

Great pick up sir - looks awesome on your wrist.

Never in my lot of years as a fan of the brand had I put a DSSD on my wrist, which is small (6.7), and I made the change of my SubC by phone with a friend and we sent each other the watches (I send the Sub and he send to me the DSSD), I thought, from what I have read in this forum, that it would be a watch that would use little because of its heavy heavy weight I put it on and it felt perfect, it is light, comfortable! I sleep with the Big Diver lasta night (a night of infidelity..ssshhh).

I wanted to open a title here that said: What have you been talking about the DSSD on this forum all this years? You all lied to me!!!

The new to me DSSD is very scratched, is not mint condition, was a daily of his previous owner, I do not want to pulish it, I'm going to keep it as is right now, he must need service, but is keeping excellent time after 12 years (Rolex 3135 is top engineer).

Maybe was not a good buisnees (sub trade dssd) monetary speaking but was a JOY for my child soul!

Looks fantastic! Congratulations, and I agree with all your thoughts!
I got lucky and found a NIB 116660 JC this week as well, also with a small (ish) 6.75 wrist. So many other factors involved when viewing size parameters and wearability.
Enjoy that beauty!

The bracelet tampers very nice. The crystal is a must see....the ring lock is a BEAUTY (I'm crazy?), the DS Glidelock Clasp is unique, the Big Crown is badass, the tinanium back is BADASS!!! LOVE IT!

I know is a watch made only for Rolex divers fans (like is my SD43).

Yesterday night was looking the Ring Lock System and read on the net: "...which uses a super hard, nitrogen-alloyed steel central ring to internally support both the extra-thick sapphire crystal and the Grade 5 titanium caseback" and was like a child!

I am of the generation that was still surprised by everything, by a special effect in a movie, or by a beautiful person, or by a mechanical watch that can stand 3,900 meters with only 44mm large.

I do not want to stop being surprised and this DSSD has been a pleasant surprise and a new companion badass for my grail: The SD43, look at them together:

Good to know you traded the sub. Keep yourself focused on deep seas for now. They can make a nice collection. As I said above. A James Cameron will make the ultimate trio.
As for the sub, who knows, you may get the coming one down the road but I fear that from now on anything less than a DeepSea will look dwarfed to your eyes.

Gracias Rori, lamento mucho haber tenido que salir del Sub, pero mis limitados fondos me obligaban a hacer el cambio (hubiera sido fabuloso mantener los 3 divers) quizá más adelante un 5 digitos Sub para darle variedad!

This is so true!

I left my CC info for a DSSD with the dealer one night after closing, scoured the this forum all night and was so scared off by all the negative posts, I cancelled it and bought a SubC the next day.

6 months later, traded the SubC for a DSSD!

Enjoy. It's an awesome watch.

Thanks Marc!!!! One more time please!

We can not confuse, in my opinion, that I express with all respect, the 3 Rolex divers with clothing sizes that are small, medium, large, if that were the intention there would be Daytona S, Daytona M and Daytona L, what there is is a Sub that resists 300m, a SD43 1220m and a DSSD that resists 3,900m! It was not a watch created for big people because it is still uncomfortable for them, it was created to dream!

Rolex did not say: "We create a super watch that resists 3,900m bit can be wear only by giants! Not!!! It is for everyone and it looks big to almost everyone because it is a MONSTER!

Or is it that we the skinny can only go down 300m !!! ??
