Free Internet Telephone Calls
All you need is soundcard headphones and mic, the sound quality is excellent.
My friend started using Skype in his company about 6 months ago for all internal calls between his two offices. He also uses it to talk to his distributor in Australia, myself some friends over there . So far we have found it to be an excellent piece of software. The sound quality is way better than a normal phone, provided you have a good headset. It has saved him money and has improved his inter office communication. http://www.skype.com/ |

I might give that a try. At the moment I use "Callserve". It is not free but I can speak to land line phones around the world quite cheaply. Only problem is you need a good Internet connection, which I don't always get being on dial-up.

I must correct my earlier statement. The programme is free but the calls are cheap. BTW how is that young Indian father?

Yeah, I've been on Skype for a few months now - lovely stuff! There's also Skype Out, where you can call landlines and mobiles for local call prices.

Tam's parents got us into Skype...
It's pretty good and we've had conference calls with her parents and bros. She got a headset too, which makes all the difference.
