How do you care for your PPs...

Hi all,

Was wondering if you keep all your PPs on winders (assuming they are at least annual calendars) or do you let them run out of juice if storing for much longer (circa 6m to 12m+)?

Also how often do you get the spring bars replaced or take it in for a quick look at PP service?

Thanks so much

My simple 5711 is left unpowered until I wear it. Any complicated Pateks, I'd put on a winder for convenience. I examine my bars every time I swap straps and replace as needed.

Thanks a lot Mike. Is it easy to purchase replacement bars from PP. I had the impression they were 18k (or pt950) as well or...?

very lovely annual calender Mike.

Well, i guess a winder is not necessary unless you are 'lazy' or yours is a perp calender. I will just wind and adjust the time whenever I need to wear it. That is the process where I feel that I am 'communicating' with my watch. I got mine not long ago, so no experience with any repair and maintenance yet.
