I forgot how nice it is. And it is.

Got my Speedy 3861 sapphire about a year ago as I always wanted a nice chronograph. Just prior to that I did inquire with the AP Boutique about the new 43mm AP ROO 26420 in steel with the black dial. Had a nice chat with the SA, left my contact info, and that was that.
I wore my Speedy every day and really liked everything about it.
And then, in mid February I got the call. A black dial AP 2640SO was mine if I wanted it. Thought about it for about 10 seconds and said send me the wire instructions.
Speedy went back in the box as I have now worn my AP everyday. The AP does give me a special feeling of accomplishment for all my hard work over the decades that is hard to put into words. I had never even seen an AP before this.
Anyway... Speedy came out this week and I forgot just how nice of a watch it is. I plan on sharing wrist time a bit more often.

Cool. I know what you mean, but the experience you describe really says a lot about the Omega

Yes, I really love my 3861... I wear it nearly daily though.
