Thanks for sharing! That's the best look IMO - the gap between the strap and lugs are a bit jarring, I must admit.

Yeah, the end links are a must imo.

I think it's a superb look once the endlinks are in place Tom!

Oysterflex on my 116500

Endlinks are in!

Admittedly I'm a bit disappointed with the finish of the endlinks (very rough on the brushed surfaces), and the fit is not as nice as Rolex OEM bracelet as there are visible gaps on both ends.

Great look Tom, and much better with the end links installed.

I know it’s off topic (slightly), but I think a brushed oyster bracelet would look killer on the 500, especially with the white dial. JMHO

OP, may I ask what is the size of your wrist? Mine is 160cm and I'm in between (ED/EE) and (ED/EF)

And, do you have your comfort link in or out?

Thanks.

I’ve Tried many times without success, i try again:
When you put OF on SS 116500 WITH aftermarket end links, is the measure chart of reference the same used with the official Rolex OF Daytonas?

Yes.
The endlinks have no effect on the OF measurements or strap length.

All the endlinks do is fill the gap between the round edge of the watch case and the straight line of the OF strap.

If you go this route of adding an OF to any watch for which it wasn’t originally intended, and wish to use aftermarket endlinks, be certain to communicate with the endlinks maker in advance. You want to be sure they guarantee their handiwork fits the watch model you own plus the OF.

Not all straps are made the same. What works with a generic leather or rubber strap may not work with an OF. The gap distances can vary.

It looks better than I would have guessed w/o end links...

Did you ever figure out the bracelet fit?

Looks great. I would never consider any other rubber strap. Clasp has to match the watch.

I’ve got to find an OF for my 116500. Love this variation. Well done!

Finding the Oysterflex bands was very tough. But luckily I was able to source one and also I have an extra set just in case.

white gold and ss look different enough that in my opinion I think it will look off. Whether or not its noticeable to others or you is something you'll find out quickly.

If it bothers you, you can sell the OF on here in a new york minute and the smarty links too.
