Safe storage

What do you guys store your watches in whilst in a safe?.

As the pic below, I recently got a safe and have just been storing them in the Rolex service pouches.

With some reports of mould/ damp etc.. is it best to keep them in an airtight (like food ) container inside the safe?.

Also don’t want warranty cards/ service receipts/ books getting damaged either.

Is airtight the way forward?.

EDIT:- I did just keep them on bedside table but insurer requests them to be kept in a safe to be covered when not worn. Otherwise they’d be next to my head in bed...

Case budi as it will keep the clasp separated from the dial to avoid scratches.
If you’re concerned about damp put a small silica gel packet in it too

Airtight is a bad idea if you're concerned about moisture damage. That will trap moisture and prevent the watch from "breathing" naturally.

Maybe toss a couple silica gel packets in the safe and switch them out every month or so.

I keep both my watches on a Wolf dual watch winder, although I rarely use the winder, along with boxes, paperwork, and warranty card. I keep a goldenrod to keep the inside to regulate to temperature helping with humidity, as well as three Eva-Dry rechargeable mini humidifiers. If you don't have a power source inside your safe for a goldenrod, I highly recommend the Eva-Dry rechargeables. The silica beads are visible through a transparent window and when the beads turn from orange to blue, you simply remove the Eva-Dry, plug it into an outlet for the day, and they're ready to go the following morning.

For the record, you're worried about too much humidity for watches with depth ratings of 100m or more.

The Rolex watches should be kept in the airtight bag in the freezer, otherwise they can spoiled and will stink as the rotten egg.

I thought this was the case. I’ll do that, thanks.

Casefarm UK has modified Pele watchcases that are water and airtight. Those are pretty cool for long-term storage.

I keep mine on my dresser. The way I look at it is if someone can get by my camera system, motion and glass break detectors, perimeter alarms and interior sensors, they deserve the damn thing.

I used to also but it’s not covered by my insurer if not in a safe when unworn. If I sleep in them then it’s all good. However I have a metal head board and I know I’d smack them off it while sleep fighting

I keep mine in a wolf box and use a portable de-humidifier and moniter inside of my safe, mostly for other items, .

Me too. Or, Everest makes a nice pouch as well.

OP, don't overthink it.
