Factory Patek With Many Diamonds

Hello everyone,
My uncle recently took a Patek he bought in the 90s out of the safe and showed it to me. He says that it is the only one in the world.

I'm not a watch person at all, and I don't know anything about Patek numbers or models, but I find the watch quite beautiful.

I know of the Patek archive service, and will probably go for that, but I just saw the watch yesterday, and am interested in knowing what "Patek people" think :)

Any information about the model and movement is much appreciated!

Thank you.

Syrius.

WOW! I do believe that you have something very special. I have found nothing on a Ref 3983. No record of this ever being sold at auction. Even if this is not a one of a kind, you can be assured that Patek didn't make many of these.

The movement has been used in many PP watches and modified in certain models to add a seconds hand or GMT function and moonphase. The movement is not all that special.

Thanks SO much for posting! I'd love to hear how he acquired the watch?

I was about to say that too!

The baguette cut has recently become in favor as the optimal setting. This thing would glow like a torch in da club fo sho.

Thanks for the responses! I will try to find out more from my uncle and will post updates here.

Also, what is a Patek chandelier? Is it just any Patek with lots of diamonds? Pardon my newbie questions. I do not know anything about watches. I wear a Timex!

So it is crazy the first watch that has me this interested in a Patek with 40ct of diamonds.

I don't know to laugh or cry!

Syrius.
