Agreed.

If it's in the budget - take a look at the 5167R also. Heavier than the A for sure, but you might enjoy it.

This sounds dodgy to me. I have an historical relationship with my patek AD, they’ve never posted a watch out to me. They’ve taken Wire but collection was always strictly in person.

I've gotten a watch before from a fresh AD that was recommended to me via an acquaintance. I emailed them back and forth and then did the wire as the wire was to the AD's name and in the location where they're located. I made sure to check the email if the "from" was spoofed too. It was shipped day after they received the funds in full.

The likely chance of OP just calling around and convincing an AD to sell him a 5167A is close to 0. That watch has a backorder for years and it just wouldn't seem likely unless he told him over the phone that some other "deal" would be made (OP paid a premium or a bundle??)

If you are willing to bundle to buy something you do not really want, just go gray and get the one by itself. Now.

Op just tell the dealer you will pay by AMX - if he says he is concerned about the discount he pays - offer to pay additional to cover discount. Me thinks it’s a scam though. I would see if this ad is listed on PP ‘s site and call the no on PP’s site to make sure.

I have to confess , this is how I bought my 5990 and my 5711R - make sure it is truly an authentic AD and do it. :-)
