Father/Son Project

I was watching a TV commercial for an anti-fatigue drug. It showed a man standing above his messy workbench and the word "FATIGUE" was spelled out in between the messy tools.

I figured I could make a sign with my sons name on it and put tools from myself and both of his Grandfathers on it. It started with a simple pine 1"x12"x4' board from home depot. We then beat it up with a hatchet, angle grinder, and drill. We glued printed letters onto with easily removable rubber cement. We lightly sprayed flat black over the letters and then let some stain seep under the letters. I wanted the letters to not be sharp, but more like what was in the commercial. Sawdust was then put into the letters to roughen them up a bit more.
