Rolex bracelet 7835 - REAL or FAKE ?
Hi guys , I just bought from eBay a Rolex bracelet for my watch an I really like it but my concern is that I'm not sure if it's genuine because has a very low weight and when I shake it has a sound like a cheep metal . I attached several pictures to capture as many details as possible . Thank you for any opinion

Looks real to me, and looks to be in great condition as well. You have a 7835 folded link oyster bracelet with 19mm end links. One of the charms of these older bracelets is that they do rattle and make noise. Also, if you are used to the modern SEL bracelet and glidelock clasp, these will feel very flimsy. They're still made of steel, they're just much less robust than the new ones.

Thank you Sky21 for your opinion . Do you think that number 3 over 72 from the last picture means March of 1972 ?

Hi flexibil29,
I believe your bracelet is the real deal. I actually also own a (very well worn) 7835/19mm oyster bracelet but with 257 end links. Here's a picture of mine, which is dated 4/71. If I had to guess, I'd say the "3" in yours references the quarter of the year rather than March. That's at least how Rolex did it with the inside casebacks on its watches. Others can feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Would love to see which watch your bracelet goes with. Mine is a later oyster model, given that it's on a 1958 Air King dagger dial 5500. |

It's real, and in very nice condition from 1972! If you want something heavier, you can go with a 78350. I have both!

Thank you Floorguy . To be honest I really like this one , I think is suitable for my wrist ;) . Do you know what is the difference between 7835 oyster and 7835 daytona ? I saw that both of them has 19 mm end links .

I was taken aback by the look and feel of my '72 9315 after owning a solid link bracelet. Normal.

The dating is not the same for case backs and bracelets. 3 70 on a bracelet would be March 1970.
A Daytona 19mm bracelet is the same, just different end links.

If I recall, the 357 end links are for a 35mm Tudor prince from that era. 35mm Rolex cases used a 557 or 57 end link. Still a very nice and only lightly stretched bracelet you have there OP.

I'm wearing a 7836 right now and it's actually one of my favorite Bracelets.Paired with a thin GMT the light weight is awesome and I like the industrial look of the folded links.

Is a beautiful bracelet!!!! My favorite for the 4-digit subs is the 9135 that is the same folded hollow link construction. Noisy as a solid lifter engine but as purposeful and simple design. Congrats for this good buy!
