Submariner + Datejust = Rolex collection perfection

Hi all,

These are my only 2 Rolexes and I think they compliment each other really well.

Both these just scream Rolex given their unique characteristics.

If your new to Rolex, I would recommend both of these - absolute classics!

Have a good weekend!

Cheers
Anuj

Great combo.

I have a Sub C and a DJ2 and I think they are the ideal duo if you only have a two piece Rolex line up in your collection.

The only other watch from Rolex that I can see myself buying to make it a perfect trio is a Daytona.

That would be the Rolex pieces complete within my collection, I think.

I agree wholeheartedly! Although, I went with a GMT ... Close enough

Definitely a great pair. But we've all got our own tastes. I love the Datejust. I added an Air King to fill the sporty watch role.

I agree completely! And the black and white combo perfects the pairing.

I went with SD and DJII.

Thanks all - wouldn't mind adding a Daytona, GMT, Air-King, Milgauss and Cellini!

Yes I have an addiction!

I have recently been bitten by the watch bug - can't believe it took so long - I and am a newbie to Rolexes, but have been researching hard for weeks.
I own a hobby / horse farm to keep my arse off of the sofa, always something to do...
We travel a bit, so I think that having GMT hands will be very helpful on at least a couple of the watches that I get.
A jeweler we frequently use in NYC has shipped me a new Explorer II (black dial) - figured with the shock resistance it will be my daily wearer around the farm and for casual out and about. Can't wait until it arrives next week!
I'm waiting to learn what Rolex unveils next week before buying any others.
I LOVE the GMT Master II & saw an article about BezelWorld that hinted GMT II w/ black bezel and RED GMT hand may come back - if that is an offering, I'll be all over it (I'm not a fan of the green GMT hand)! If no red GMT hand - BLNR it is.
Regardless, GMT II will be the next one I get (at least at this point).
In addition, I am also considering a Sub (no date) just to have one with a "clean face". These aging eyes like / need the cyclops for the date, but it would be nice to have one without.
As you can see, I'm planning to start with all new, so that I have the 5 year warranty on all of them and know for sure what I'm getting.
If Roles comes out with something extra special, my plans may change.
I welcome thoughts / comments from this very knowledgeable group...

Perfect combo indeed. One for dressier occasions and one for a more casual attire.

I went with these.
