What next?
I considering adding to my collection.
I recently bought a kermit, and more recently a 76100 Tudor, sadly not a lolly pop hand version. My dilemma is I'm going to Hong kong next week and have a 2.5-3k pound budget. My heart was set on a tudor bronze or an BB eta. But now a friend in Hong kong has offered to use their yearly staff discount for me (35% off) any new watch. Although they don't sell Rolex/Tudor. I know we all have different tastes but is there anything I should consider given the offer of a generous discount? |

It depends on what brands they carry but if an Omega dealer I would look for a classic Speedmaster. If not, go find your Black Bay Bronze and thank your friend for his kind offer.

Thanks for the reply William
I'll have a look at them.. I just have a feeling I'll buy a bronze and then see something else and wish I'd used the discount... |

Just some selected appetizer timepieces, all within budget after 35% discount off the retail price. My love affair with Omega watches dates back to the 90s and know every model well so I guess I'm biased but if you're interested then go for either a Speedmaster or a Seamaster. However I've a funny feeling your friend in Hong Kong will suggest a pre owned entry level Panerai Luminor Marina or Radiomir

Thank you both for the feedback.
I really like the look of the Speedmasters but I think Omega is diluting the brand by offering so many versions of the same watch. It is a great proportioned watch though. Obviously the same could be said for the black bay.. I'll let fate run its course and see what happens next week. Thanks again! |

If undecided, why buy a watch just to "buy a watch"
Better to save your money until something comes a long that you truly do want. You'll think back to all the times you remained patient, which will make the new purchase that much more enjoyable. |

To buy something just because of the size of the discount could be a costly mistake. Buy what you want and if it's a Tudor, then go for it.

Some fair comments there, I'll have a look and see if anything jumps out.
