Thank you all for such kind words and condolences.
We are hoping he will be shocked and surprised upon opening it tonight and maybe take his mind away from losing his mom and to enjoying his birthday with family! About the ring ... hopefully within the coming year!  The gf is starting to learn and research Rolex and why it is such a great (but expensive) hobby. She surprised me by stating some nicknames (Kermit, Batman, Bluesy, Smurf etc) and by saying she's doing research on one she likes also. Maybe it will be a hobby her and I can share together. Thank you all again and I will definitely keep you posted on his reaction!
