This photos are not done by the seller. My brother took all the pics, so I am sure they are of same watch. I think he used a different camera though for the new one.

Yes, the serials indicate 1999.

If there is the least question in your mind, play it safe and steer clear. There are others out there that you will be able to confirm authenticity readily.

Thanks, will have to check this out more.
An earlier post said that older Rolex stickers were solid green with gold crown before holograms were introduced. This sounds similar to the one on this watch, but I have not seen any photos (or real life) of these older stickers ... ...

I hear you. I will be able to fully check out the watch in June, before I buy. I didn't want to ask seller to hold for me (since thats a couple of months plus) unless I had a good comfort level and felt serious about it. I am a lot more comfortable with what had seemed like 'variances' initially - thanks to great input from TRF members. Thanks guys.

If the watch is from 1999, wouldn't it have been serviced at least 1x (assuming it was worn regularly)? If so, are there service records?

If was worn daily, and not serviced since 1999, would that be a concern?

[QUOTE=ansharma;1070887]Hi,

I am no expert, but I am sure the watch is a fake for the following reasons:

1. As you mentioned, the crown does not look right and looks to be made from a cheaper material (from its colour).

2. Examine the dial carefully, I think it should say "SWISS MADE"

Not all of them say swiss made... Mine says this. (SWISS-T<25)
