Everest strap system GMTIIc
Finally! My patience paid off. Below are the lessons learned for anyone interested in making your GMTIIc different from the rest and not envy a BLNR...
Lessons learned: 1. Bergeon 6825-ff tool does not work with Rolex bracelets unless modified. The tool costs $189.00 and Otto free says it works on Rolex; it doesn't. The fine tip forks are too wide. After my frustration with not being able to remove the bracelet and almost returning the $355 Everest system, I did more research here in TRF- thank you team! 2. The Esslinger Horofix tool works beautifully right off the box. I was able to remove the Rolex bracelet a la AD. 3. The Everest end link system deserves a quality prize! You would have thought that Rolex manufactured the strap. 4. The Everest buckle is sturdy and thick, however, it is too sporty looking if you want to dress up the watch. Great quality though. 5. I installed an "Acerinox" Rolex logo buckle from eBay and it made the watch look like it belonged on the strap. As if was meant to be. I am free at last! No more worrying about scratches on CPLs. No more Daytona on strap needed. I got the perfect combo.

I really like that look. I sold my GMTiiC but I think that's a great look.

Looks really nice. The bergeon 6767f work on Rolex modern and vintage bracelets.

It is an 18mm Buckle. You can get it on eBay for $30 to $40. I do not think Rolex makes buckles any longer. The originals were only made on 16mm. These complement Rolex watches on straps very well.

Nice job! I think your strap and buckle look great and that combo provides a classy alternative look to the original bracelet.

Remember, this is not a permanent change.
It feels like a different watch. And, unlike a Daytona on strap, you always have the option to instal the oyster bracelet in less than 10 seconds. I wore the watch in this configuration with a suit last night and got lots of compliments.
