Incoming B-day Present (not for me)
Although this incoming is not for me, I am just as excited for my girlfriends dad to receive it. He lost his mom last week suddenly and had to fly out West for the funeral. When the family was there, I asked my girlfriend to pick up my SJ bracelet (63200) I had ordered from my AD out there. When they went to pick it up, my salesperson took them into the Rolex room. My gf's dad was looking and asked to try on a few pieces and surprisingly found one he liked. Although, my AD wouldn't budge on the price (after giving some discount) they left. That evening my gf told me that her dad couldn't stop talking about it.
I reached out to Bobby @ canwatchco as he just posted one for sale - a different dial though. He told me that he could get the dial my gf's dad liked but I had to confirm. My gf messaged me the next evening (after the funeral) and told me her dad still wouldn't stop talking about the watch. So I messaged Bobby and told him I'd take it. We discussed the price, payments etc and the deal was done. I was a but hesitant sending the money to a stranger, but he was a trusted seller so it gave me some reassurance as he sold before on TRF. After sending the final payment, Bobby sent the watch Monday afternoon, I received it today, opened it and was in awe as it was packaged amazingly and was just as described - brand new with stickers! We will be giving the watch to her dad tomorrow for his 65th birthday. Just wanted to share with all of you and so glad her and I could do this for him =) Here's the Rolex OP 114300 - Blue dial

Wow that is a great story. What an amazing gift, I am sure he will be over the moon once he receives it as something to cheer him up. Sorry for his and your loss, my condolences.
