Omega “TinTin” Speedmaster Professional Moon Watch 311.30.42.30.01.004. Condition is lightly used with serialized tag, both model and warranty cards with over 3 years of warranty left (dated 12/25/18 - Christmas purchase date!), case back and bracelet stickers (bracelet has never been worn or unstickered), wooden inner box and outer cardboard box. I will also include nato strap in photos. This really is a stunning piece on the wrist!!!

**Please note small marks on back sides of lugs from where original bracelet sat as well as TINY marks along bottom edge of 7 o'clock lug. I had to magnify 4x and in perfect light to get them to show.

This specific 2013 Omega Speedmaster Professional Ref. 311.30.42.30.01.004 is commonly referred to as the "Tin Tin" due to the red and white checkering around the minute track which looks like the red and white checkering of the rocket ship from the comic book character Tintin. The Omega "Tintin" Speedmaster was released at Baselworld 2013 and then canceled after roughly one to two years of production making it quite a rare watch to find and ultimately collect. The red and white checkering around the dial is what is commonly referred to as a racing dial and this can be seen on a few other Omega Speedmaster references that were designed to track split-second timing intervals which can be easier read due to the checkering pattern around the outside of the dial.

This is a very rare Omega offering with a super cool story behind it. It was originally set to be released as an homage to the French cartoonist Herge. The rights were revoked just as Omega was to release the watch before Baselworld 2013. Being that the dials had already been prepared, Omega released the watch as a special edition Speedmaster and omitted the “TinTin” rocket which was meant to be placed at the 11 hour. It is one of the most beautiful modern offerings from Omega and will definitely be a true collectible piece. It is thought that production was in the 1500 piece range.
