Go figure?

I heard and then saw the replay.

“Common Sense isn’t so common anymore…”

That’s my take.

Amazing day 3. Couldn't ask for more drama.
Scared the hell out of my wife when I screamed during the sprint to end stage 3. She thought I was having a heart attach.

No spoilers, haven't seen Stage 12 yet.

Can Cavendish do it by Paris?

I love the Tour de France but man I hate the TV coverage. More commercials than actual coverage of the race. I record it but still all I'm doing is hitting the fast forward button.

Yesterday's stage up the Ventoux (twice!) was epic.

I watch the NBC stage recap which is about 40 minutes. Gotta hear Phil Liggett give the highlights and Bob Roll's enthusiasm. But sure miss Paul Sherwen.

Here’s a comment from Eddie Merckx before today’s stage.

“I won 34 Tour stages by winning sprints, in the mountains, in time trials and going on the attack on the descents. Let's not forget the five yellow jerseys I’ve got at home plus the 96 days I wore it. Does that not seem much?

There’s no doubt that he’s the greatest cyclist of all time but I thought that he could have been a little more gracious about the possibility of his record being tied.

There’s no jersey for king of humility.

I think he has a point about his dominant position in several categories. Supreme all-rounder looking askance at a sprinter methinks.

But Merckx’ arrogance is matched stroke for stroke by his new title bunkmate.
