Why not the 5980/1R, perfect size between the two you are considering.

I think 5980/1R has pretty much the same size as 5990/1R?

Lug to lug the 5990 optically wears noticeably larger than the 5980. With the perspective I have owned the 5980 and tried on the 5990 several times, I have smaller wrists and much prefer the 5980 on me.

You can see the difference, especially in the width, in these two photos, optically the 5980 wears smaller and is .5m thinner, several other watches for perspective.

Just get both of them!

You are amazing! You can choose between 5712 and 5990! Possible to get both since you are obviously a VVVVVIP! Then, problem is solved!

No hate here, but I genuinely think a 33mm or maybe a 37mm Royal Oak would look spectacular on you. I have larger 7.5'' wrists, but 36/37 mm-sized watches look great on me IMO. Fit and proportion trump the watch itself every time!

I’d get a 5712 out of those. Agree with others saying that both pieces seem too large for your wrist.
