15500 Movement

Just a comment that the 4302 movement in my new 15500ST is amazing. Putting it on the Timegrapher, it shows essentially no speed variation in any orientation, high amplitude and very low beat error. It is about 1 to 2 seconds per day fast, which is exactly what I want.

Extremely pleased with the watch.

the 15500st movement is one of its highlights. its so much nicer to me in terms of finishing detail, design and overall proportion in in the display caseback compared to 15400 i am surprised it doesn't get more attention. in pictures 15400 and 15500 look the same but in hand the 15500 stands out much more especially the back. the 15500 is a showcase for the GT dial with its uninterrupted (by 'automatic') dial and well proportioned and beautiful movement.

My 15500 had to go back to AP for service. After a full wind it would run for an hour and stop. Let’s see what happens when it gets back.

Wow that’s impressive. Mine’s around 4-5. Guess it’s the luck of the draw. No complaints though.

15500 top tip - place the watch on the side opposite crown when letting it rest and it will keep either perfect time or very little gain!

I have a number of top quality watches, including many Rolex pieces. The accuracy and beauty of my 15500 movement sit in a class by itself!
