How are the dials made

I can visualize the construction of most of the parts, but as I look at the various dials, I wonder how they are assembled.

For example, position markers on a dial. Are they silver soldered, glued, etc. prior to the application of illumination material. Same with the crown logo.

Lettering is I supposed "tamped" on with a rubber or other reverse stamp?

Don't worry, I'm not setting up a fab. Just curious.

Thanks

The back side of these dials should give you an idea of how the indices are attached.

I don't want to get technical, but according to chemistry alcohol IS a solution!

Authentic Rolex Dial vs. Aftermarket or Custom

Thanks for the information about how the dials are made, but I was wondering if you could give some quick tips on identifying Authentic (Factory) Dials vs. Custom or Aftermarket Dials. I recently changed the dial in a watch I purchased, and on the back the markings are Rolex with a crown on each side of the Rolex word and belwo a number 1 with some space and then the numbers 1498, I have attached an image of the stampings, the Crowns do not have the oval bottoms, not sure if they have been rubbed off, but seems odd to me?
